Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ebook Lab Tech (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you visit https://ebooklabtech.com or use the studio.
1. Information we collect
Account
When you register we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
Billing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects payment details according to its own privacy policy. We store Stripe customer IDs, payment or license identifiers, and plan status so we can unlock Pro access. We do not store full credit card numbers.
Project data
We store the niches, ideas, outlines, chapters, covers, themes, and export files you create so the studio can work for you.
Usage and technical data
We and our hosting providers (including Vercel) may collect IP address, browser type, device information, and basic request logs needed to run and secure the site.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in sessions (NextAuth) and security. These are required for the Service to function. We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use information
- Create and secure your account
- Provide niche research, writing, covers, and exports
- Process payments and unlock lifetime Pro
- Respond to support requests
- Prevent abuse and keep the Service reliable
- Improve features and fix bugs
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI processing
To generate text and images, we send relevant prompts and project content to AI providers such as OpenAI. Do not put secrets, other people’s private data, or anything you are not allowed to process into the studio.
4. Who we share with
We share data only with services that help us operate:
- Stripe — payments
- Vercel — hosting
- Neon — database
- OpenAI — AI generation
These providers process data under their own terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and our users.
5. Retention
We keep account and project data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must keep it for legal, tax, or dispute reasons (for example, a payment record).
6. Your choices
You may:
- Update your name, email, or password in Settings
- Request a copy or deletion of your account by emailing support@ebooklabtech.com
- Close your account
Depending on where you live (including Canada, the UK, and the EEA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as hashed passwords, HTTPS, and access-restricted databases. No online service is 100% secure.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you use the Service from Canada or elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
